Smooth Sailing for Wayne

Blend Creative graphic designer Wayne Crabb has recently returned from Japan, where he competed in the Sailability Hansa World Championships.

The avid sailor competed in eight categories – and came 26th out of 53 yachts, a fantastic result!

The week-long Hansa Class World & International Championships were held at Hiroshima Kanon Marina.

Wayne says he enjoyed catching up with his fellow ‘yachties’ from around the world.

He loved the Japanese beer and cuisine – especially the five-course breakfasts and three-course dinners each day.

Wayne says a highlight of the trip was a day spent visiting the deer sanctuary on Miyajima, a small island in Hiroshima Bay.

The event was organised by the Japan Sailing Federation in conjunction with the International Hansa Class Association and the Japan Hansa Class Association and operated by the Hiroshima Sailing Federation.

Wayne would like to thank the team at Blend and Minda, his supporters, family and friends for helping him get to Japan.
