Pool reopens for Minda clients
The Minda pool reopened this week for Minda clients on a limited numbers basis.
Minda ASSIST Therapy clients and MyPATH hydrotherapy clients can now access the pool three days a week – Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10am to 3pm.
With government regulations now allowing for the operation of pools used in allied health settings, Senior Manager Lifestyle Services Dale Govett says no more than 10 people will be allowed in the pool area at any one time.
“The centre will be cleaned regularly by our part-time staff who have returned to work, with there being a strong focus on infection control,” Dale says.
“Both staff and clients will also be temperature tested prior to going into the centre.”
Minda ASSIST Therapy will be providing physiotherapy, exercise physiology and occupational therapy, with allied health assistants providing programs for clients.
Dale says the reopening of the pool to Minda clients is a positive sign the Minda community can start to return to some of its usual activities.
“We are doing what we can in terms of being open for business, and many clients and their families we have spoken to are looking forward to accessing the pool again. We know the pool is really important to so many of our clients in terms of their overall wellbeing.”
As South Australia continues to make positive progress in relation to COVID-19, Dale says the aquatic centre will be open for business on a wider scale as soon as possible.
