Social Health

The Social Health team provides developmental support to individuals to assist them to become valued members of society and act in a socially acceptable manner. Those who have both an intellectual disability and have a range of physical disabilities, conduct related problems, dual disability and emotional or personality disorders. Although individuals may have independent living skills their behaviour often limits them from integrating well into the community.

Social Health also comprises of a Model of Service providing support to individuals in their teens, addressing an unmet need in the community. This model was developed in consultation with the Disability Service Office and Options Co-Ordination Office.
